NMDC limited, founded in 1958, is a India-Government owned mineral producer under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel. It is involved in the exploration of copper, iron ore, rock phosphate, diamond, tin, tungsten, limestone, dolomite, gypsum, graphite etc. NMDC is India's largest iron ore producer and exporter producing around 30 million tons of iron ore.
