Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), founded in 1992, is an Indian Government-owned electric utilities company headquartered in Gurgaon, India. Power Grid wheels about 50% of the total power generated in India on its transmission network. Power Grid has a pan-India presence with around 100,000 Circuit-km of Transmission network with a total transformation capacity of around 140,000 MVA. The Inter-regional capacity is enhanced to 28,000 MW. Power Grid has diversified its business into Telecom and established a telecom network of more than 25,000 km across the country.
