The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the Second India Water Forum 2013 on October 28, 2013 at a function at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.  Speaking on the occasion, the President said that India’s agriculture is a big demand centre for water. Water management in this sector is therefore crucial for overall sustainability of our water resource.

SCRA Exam Notification 2014

Special Class Railway Apprentices SCRA Exam 2014 is conducted by the UPSC. SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentice) is the apprenticeship B-Tech programme of 4 years duration which is administered and governed by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The Notification for the examination is usually released in October of every year and examination is conducted in January of every year. The successful end of the training session will make the candidate come out as Mechanical Engineers in the department of Mechanical Engineering, Railway of India. Every YEar almost 1.5 lakhs candidates write the exam and around 50 are selected. So its a tough competition and only the best survives. Good Luck to all!!!

About State Bank of India


State Bank of India is the largest banking and financial services company in India by market capitalization, revenue and assets. It is a Govt-owned bank with its headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Indian Railway's Biggest Forged Wheel Plant in UP

The Indian Railways on 3rd October signed a pact with Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd.(RINL) to set up the country’s biggest Forged Wheel plant at Raebarelli in Uttarpradesh. The Forged wheel plant to be set up at a cost of 1100 crore rupees at Lalganj will reduce India’s dependence on imports of high speed forged wheels for trains.

The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2013 presents updated estimates of undernourishment and progress towards the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) and World Food Summit (WFS) hunger targets. The latest assessment shows that further progress has been made towards the 2015 MDG target, which remains within reach for the developing regions as a whole, although marked differences across regions persist and considerable and immediate additional efforts will be needed.

India ranks 78th on Human Capital Index

According to the list of total 122 countries released on October 1st by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum, India has been ranked lower than three of its BRICS peers -- China with 43rd rank, Russia with 51st rank and Brazil with 57th, while South Africa is placed at 86th place.
